Paris, France 

 

Paris is the capital city of France and the home to many impressive art and history museums. Travel to Paris is cheap, however the costs upon arrival is somewhat expensive. The city is massive, so a 2-3 day stay is recommended, and the best way to travel is by the metro.

Barcelona, Spain

​

Barcelona is a large coastal city in Spain that is home to many works of the famous architect Gaudi as well as many museums of art. The food in Spain is of impressive quality, as well as the beaches. The city is very hot in the summer months so pack accordingly.

Venice, Italy

​

Venice was the capital of what was once the Venetian empire, now part of Italy, it is known for its canals, and the beautiful architecture that lies above them. The city has excellent seafood based italian dishes. The city of Murano is a short water taxi away, and is also worth visiting for its mind blowing collection of glass blowing studios.

Rome, Italy

​

Rome was the former Roman capital and has a seemingly endless amount of beautiful ruins and examples of Roman architecture. It is very hot and crowded in the summer months so be aware of that fact. It is also worth buying any tickets you can ahead of time due to how crowded it is. The best way to get around this city is walking or taxis so sneakers are a good idea.

Florence, Italy

​

Florence was a former city state and one of the birthplaces of the Renaissance. It is home to gorgeous examples of Renaissance architecture and Renaissance era art, including Michelangelo's “David”. Outside the city is a wonderful wine country that offers an excellent opportunity to taste various Italian wines.

Athens, Greece

​

Athens is the Capital of Greece and is home to some of the most impressive ancient ruins in the world. The city is extremely hilly so taking the bus or cabs to get around is recommended. Athens is very  cheap to live in however it is an issue getting there for cheap, so it is advised to plan any trips to greece as early as possible.

Amsterdam, Holland

​

Amsterdam is the capital of Holland and is known as the “Venice of the North” this city is rich in canals and beautiful north european coastal architecture. It is home to many art museums including some dedicated to Rembrant and Van Gogh. This city is best traveled by bike, as there are designated bike paths all through the metropolitan areas.

    Not for: dislike too much walking

St. Petersburg, Russia

​

If you plan ahead of time and purchase a Russian entry visa, a great place to visit is St. Petersburg. This city is home to many examples of one of a kind architecture and some beautiful residences of the Russian royal family before the Red Revolution. This city is best traveled by cab, however be very cautious when negotiating with Russian cabbies because they will sometimes try to cheat you out of money. Also be aware that this city is very heavily populated by pickpockets.

Dublin, Ireland

​

Dublin is the capital of Ireland, and is home to many great examples of old medieval architecture. It has a rather astonishing amount of pubs, so if you love beer than this is the city for you. The city also has many impressive museums and old churches. The city is more or less walkable, although busses and cabs can be taken if so desired.

Santorini , Greece

​

Santorini is a volcanically active Greek Island, home to some of the greatest beaches in the world. The Greek people are extremely friendly and love to party, so nightlife here is abundant. Tours take you in and around the volcanoes, and are well worth your time. The island is also famous for its multi-colored beaches (black, pink, and white). The most enjoyable way to travel around Greek Islands is to rent mopeds while touring the island.
